Its been a few days since our last update but that does not mean we have not been busy! After many delays getting our supplies shipped in to Port Au Prince, we finally unloaded our 22,000 square foot tent and other medical and food stuff supplies. In a few hours the raising of the mammoth tent will be complete! It is a good thing that a team came in from the tent maker to help erect this tent because it would have been one long ordeal for a bunch of novices to accomplish this feat! We actually have a time lapse camera on this process and should have the footage available Read the rest of this entry »

2/21 Church Service

This morning the church gathered for worship. It was close to 4000 people in attendance which puts us close to half the pre-quake congregation. People are still scattered, but every weekend more return. Hopefully this is our last outdoor service as the tent has arrived off the waters of Port Au Prince and is to be unloaded this week. It is a two day process to put this mammoth tent up! The concrete work should be done by Thursday and that will give us Friday and Saturday to erect the tent. Please keep this in prayer!

Worship was sweet this morning! The presence of God was strong as we gathered together and worshiped. At one point in the service we even had Pastor Jay leading a song! Read the rest of this entry »

Ready…Set…Go!

In the next 2-3 days things are about to get very busy here! We are getting ready to pour concrete for the building slab that will be the foundation for the new church building and will also serve as the floor for the tent that has been graciously donated to FOMM. Monday begins the pouring of the concrete. Saturday and after church on Sunday we will be tying and laying the steel. Our teams have worked hard under the supervision of Bill Shelton and everyone is excited to finally see the finished product. Bill says that the pouring of the cement is like “icing the cake”.

Our first shipment of equipment and supplies from Friendships will also arrive this weekend. This ship carries the tent for the ministry, 500 tents donated for the people of Port Au Prince as well as food and medicine that are needed. The unloading and transport of these supplies will be taking place at the same time as we pour our Read the rest of this entry »

We are in a move of God. No man did a thing but for the past two day’s we’ve had over 15,000 people praying with us. We will continue on Sunday.

PRAYER, PRAYER AND PRAYER!
The prayer has been so sweet and so anointed. Thousands have gathered for the last two days to cry out to our Father God in repentance for their own lives and repentance for the nation. It has been so powerful. It’s been a true move of God because it all has been unannounced and unplanned. God has gathered the saints in intercession to stand the gap for a nation that is still suffering.

We thank God during these days of great challenges for His continuous provision. Exactly one month today, 02/12/10, over 15,000 Haitians gathered together today to pray and pursue Christ. The actual number could be closer to 20,000 citizens in count.

The churches in the Port Au Prince area gathered in a day of prayer and fasting and seeking God. They were scattered all through the church site; Haitian people all over.

God met us during this awesome time of corporate worship. Somewhere between 300 to 500 received Jesus as their Lord and Savior during this time of worship, prayer, and fasting. Thank the Lord with us for this awesome and historical moment in this city.

Once again, our Lord and Savior has brought forth such a wonderful surprise. Today is the one month anniversary of the earthquake. The nation called a day of morning….The collective church called for a day of fasting and prayer. Guess we know who’s hearing God, huh?

OVER 15,000 IN ATTENDANCE!
Little did I know that the crowds would come to our church site to pray. I was expecting a good double of our normal attendance for prayer but I was pleasantly surprised as people kept coming, and coming, and coming. It was well over 15,000 who came. Maybe close to 20,000 but I always stay a bit conservative with my numbers. They were everywhere. In front..on the hill, under Read the rest of this entry »

It has been 9 days since our last food distribution. We had tried every angle and every orginization all to no avail. Then on Saturday we got our first bit of food, not enough for a full distribution but at least we got our foot in the door. A young man e-mailed us (not knowing what was going on) and told us God impressed on him to tell us to “give what we had and God would multiply”. We had intentions to do just that and we get the call from our Muslim contacts that they were near with a 45 foot trailer full of food! Once again, God moved on the hearts of men across the globe to provide for His children. The United Arab Emirates Read the rest of this entry »

Dear Beloved,

Well, I got up early this morning and wrote beautiful update and in the middle of writing my internet went down. Praise the Lord in all things! Soooo, here I go again. We see the hand of God moving in wonderful ways in the midst of it all. Even though CNN and FOX NEWS has made this a secondary story, I can assure you it’s a full time job just trying to get product, food, ect…and move it into the hands of those in need.

FIRST, FOOD!
We’ve been out of food for a good while. We have trucks on the road today and maybe able to get some through TBN/Smile of a Child. We have a precious church in CT. purchasing food in Santo Domingo, and trying to truck it to the border today. Even though Read the rest of this entry »
